Real estate agents may advertise your home in magazines which feature homes for sale. This is particularly true for more expensive homes where the seller is more likely to expect this type of marketing. In truth this type of marketing, while appearing very impressive is unlikely to result in a sale. In fact it is more likely that the magazine advertisiment will attract more sellers for the listing agent, rather than a buyer for your home.
The main source of sales is from buyers who are associated with other real estate agents. Therefore a better and much more productive way of finding buyers, is to market directly to these agents.
