Home Buying Advice - Freedom to Make Changes

Buying your own home provides you with the freedom to make home improvements and changes.

Freedom to Make Changes

When you rent, you are normally limited on what changes you can do to your home, after all its not yours it belongs to the landlord. You have to get permission to make certain types of improvements. Even if you could implement improvements, why would you, when the landlord will receive the benefit of any home price appreciation.

The main aim of most landlords is to make as much profit as possible therefore they are unlikely to spend much on general maintenance and performing improvements.

When you own a home, however, you can do pretty much perform whatever changes you want. You get the benefits of any improvements you make, plus you get to live in an environment you have created.
