One of the most common and effective types of marketing for your home is the neighborhood announcement. This is where the listing agent targets the homes in your local area with either postcards, flyer's or letters, announcing that a home in your neighborhood is coming on the real estate market.

Quite often the locals will know of people who are wanting to move to the area so this creates word of mouth advertising.
