
Home Selling Advice - Exclusive Agency Listing
With an exclusive agency agreement the real estate agent will be paid their commission if they bring the buyer to the table or another Realtors provides the buyer. If the seller finds their own buyer then the selling real estate agent will not be paid.
Realtors do not like this type of agreement because if the seller finds the buyer any money and time invested in marketing your home will be lost. If you do manage to find an agent who will do this you will probably just get the minimum level of service, they will stick it on the MLS and wait to see if a buyer turns up.
