3rd Quarter 2023 Housing Market Update
Given the current level of interest rates, the Salt Lake County real estate market remains surprisingly resilient. The median sales price for a home was pretty much flat in the quarter, falling less than 1% with a price of $520,000. The number of homes sold did decline in the quarter, dropping 9.26%, while the days on market remained flat at 20 days.
Single Family Home Sales
Single-family home prices actually increased in the 3rd quarter, climbing 0.83% to $605,000. This was on the back of declining home sales which dropped 11.78% while days on market ticked up slightly to 22 days.
Condo Home Sales
While single-family homes went up slightly, condo prices did the reverse with a small 1.11% drop in sales price. The median sales price for a condo stood at $355,000, but on the positive side condos did sell 10% faster taking a median of 18 days to go under contract.
