2nd Quarter 2022 Housing Market Update
On the surface, the Salt Lake County real estate market appeared to perform very well. The median sales price jumped 21.42% to stand at $533,000. The number of homes sold dropped sharply with 17.04% fewer homes selling. The time taken to sell a home ticked up slightly to 6 days.
Single Family Home Sales
Prices for single-family homes seemed to show no signs of slowing their accent in the 2nd quarter of 2020, with the median sales price standing at $637,272, a rise of 19.12%. While prices were up, sales were down declining 14.53% and the number of new homes coming onto the market climbed 8.34%. Days on market ticked up 1 day to stand at 6 days.
Condo Home Sales
The condo market was also robust with the median sales price climbing 22.92% to sit at $370,000. Sales did deline falling 26%, and there were slightly more homes coming onto the market with a rise of 2.91%. Days on market ticked slightly lower dropping 1 day to sit at 5 days.
