
Annual Salt Lake County Home Prices 2010
2010 was a tuff year if you owned real estate in Salt Lake County. Just three zip codes saw their single family median home price increase in 2010, with Draper's 84020 seeing the best return of 6.17%. The other areas that experienced increases were Holladay 84124 which went up 5.18% and Salt Lake City 84109 which had a small increase of just 0.35%. The areas performing the worst were Salt Lake City 84111 which went down 19.28%, Taylorsville / Kearns 84118 down 13.41% and Magna 84044 down 13.40%. When looking at the figures one thing that is noticeable is that the cheaper areas experienced some of the biggest percentage drops, while prices in the most expensive areas held up far better.
Condo prices did fare a little better, with 8 zip codes increasing in value. The three areas which experienced the biggest gains were Salt Lake City 84109 up 40.98%, South Salt Lake 84115 up 21.89% and Holladay 84117 up 14.24%. While these seem like large increases the actually number of condo sales is relatively small, making them more susceptible to large fluctuations. The Salt Lake County zip code which suffered the biggest decline in median home price was Herriman 84096 which went down 16.85%.
The median home price for all Salt Lake County declined 5.91% to 220,000 for single family homes and declined 3.93% to 161,500 for condos.
