
Salt Lake County Home Prices 4Q 2007
Salt Lake County homes in the 4th quarter 2007 stayed on the market longer, resulting in a large increase in inventory levels. This is turn put pressure on home prices, with 7 zip codes for single family homes seeing a fall in prices and 4 zip code areas for condos also falling (compared to the last quarter of 2006). Most zip codes were still showing median prices increase, but the majority only saw single digit increases, rather than the double-digit increases we have seen over the last 2 years.
Because areas that experience very few home sales in the quarter tend to show large price fluctuations, areas with fewer than 10 sales have been excluded from the median price change.
