Salt Lake County Home Prices First Quarter 2010

The first quarter 2010 saw single family home prices decrease in Salt Lake County, dropping from $238,000 to $217,000, a fall of 8.82% in the last 12 months. Surprisingly Salt Lake condo home prices actually rose, going from $160,000 to $162,040, a small rise of 1.28%.

Looking at individual zip codes, 6 areas showed single family median home price increase, with Holladay 84124 returning the highest increase of over 25%. While 24 areas saw their median home price go down, 9 of them see double digit declines, Salt Lake City 84102 experienced the biggest drop of over 22%.

Condo zip codes were evenly split with 7 zip codes going up and 7 going down (the remaining zip codes had fewer than 10 sales so have been excluded). The best performing area was Midvale 84047, where prices increased over 25%. The area experiencing the biggest decline was South Jordan 84095, which went down over 16%.
