South Jordan City

South Jordan City, UT is located approximately 15 miles from Salt Lake City. It was first settled in 1857 as part of the Salt Lake Valley expansion. South Jordan has seen considerable growth since the 1960's, growing from some 1,364 people in 1960 to 29,437 in 2000 and 50,418 in 2010.

The area continues to grow rapidly, and is home to many new construction developments, including the Daybreak master planned community which is Utah’s largest new home development. In 2015 the area introduced a new zip code 84009, property to the west of Bangerter Highway now use 84009, while property to the east continue to use 84095.
